Couples & Family Therapy
Works with families or couples to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and understand family dynamics for positive change.
Family Therapy works with families or couples to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and understand the dynamics that shape relationships within the family system. Rather than focusing on one individual, this approach looks at how family members interact and influence each other.
Family therapy recognises that difficulties experienced by one person often affect, and are affected by, the whole family system. By working together, families can develop healthier patterns of communication and support.
How Family Therapy Can Help
- Improved communication between family members
- Healthier relationships built on understanding and respect
- Better understanding of family patterns and dynamics
- Shared problem-solving that draws on everyone’s strengths
- Positive change for the whole family system
- Support during life transitions such as separation, bereavement, or relocation
What to Expect
In family therapy sessions, I work with two or more family members together. We explore how family members communicate, what patterns have developed over time, and how these patterns might be contributing to difficulties. Everyone has the opportunity to be heard.
Sessions are structured to ensure that each person feels safe and respected. The goal is not to assign blame but to help the family work together more effectively and support each other through challenges.
